LEAD Engineer Process Design for MAKEEN EnviroTech

MAKEEN EnviroTech is at present gearing up with a strong focus on the pioneering Plastcon concept, where the first full scale project is currently approaching the end of the commissioning phase.

The innovative Plastcon technology, through complex multi-technological processes, converts waste plastic into re-usable streams, primarily focused on oil ingredients, that can be refined to various uses. The Process Design Team is a key function in the Projects Engineering organization. The team is involved in the core design, of processes, function descriptions and requirement of equipment. Competences spread over the areas of fluid mechanics, chemistry, and thermodynamics. 

The LEAD Engineer Process Design should be able to gather the team around the long-term development and competitiveness of the product as well as ensuring timely and correct delivery of project specific tasks on a day-to-day basis.

At the same time, the LEAD Engineer Process Design is a great team player, as the group of stakeholders is big, and coordination across multiple engineering disciplines is a must, to ensure success in the job.

 

Areas of responsibility:

  • Team lead and development.
  • Develop and optimize process designs through PFD/P&I Diagrams.
  • Scope, organise and support design work within Process Design team to ensure delivery on time, on scope, on budget.
  • Cross functional collaboration within engineering and towards project teams.
  • Resource planning (internal and external competences).
  • System/process descriptions.
  • Specify requirements for equipment and sub-systems.
  • Flow calculations, heat balances, heat loss calculations, process data.
  • Environment (emissions, noise etc.), HAZOP and ATEX assessments.
  • Design of fire systems.
  • Retrieve, prepare, and archive documentation.
  • Selection and maintenance of calculation tools.
  • Development and maintenance of work procedures within team and towards stakeholders.
  • Compliance with relevant standards and monitoring of revision updates.

Professional qualifications:

  • Educational engineering background as Bachelor of Science (or higher) within Chemical, Thermodynamics or Mechanical is preferred, though other educations can be accepted, in case relevant experience within the fields of described responsibilities can be proven.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience from within the oil & gas and likely other process industries, where relevant experience can be documented (specific tasks and project deliveries).
  • A combination of deep theoretical knowledge, hands on experience and the ability to execute, ensuring progress, and balance between technical solutions, time schedule and economy.
  • Some managerial experience is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in English language – written as well as spoken.
