Piping Stress Engineer with stress analysis experience wanted for MAKEEN Energy’s ambitious Envirotech Project

Piping stress engineer should ensure that the pipe routing and modelling done by designers or layout engineers is consistent with the allowable in the applicable piping codes. Piping flexibility analysis for thermal forces, weight loads (live and deadweight loads), Equipment nozzle load check.

Selecting and specifying the correct pipe support, allowable pipe and support spans, expansion joints/bellows, expansion loops based on critical line identification. Maintain project technical documentation coordinating with piping package manager and other disciplines.

Coordination with following disciplines Process, Piping design/layout engineering, Instrumentation, Vessels, Mechanical, structural, Procurement and material control. Review of vendor drawings corresponding to Piping Package.

Your responsibilities

  • Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis design work
  • Very good and in-depth Knowledge of stress analysis software’s like Caesar 2,Autopipe, Rohr 2 etc. it’s applicability and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Support design work
  • Very good and in-depth Knowledge of support selection and tools like LICAD.
  • Understands role played by other disciplines on the project.

Software tools:

  • MS Office
  • Rohr2 or experience in any stress analysis tool like Caesar 2,Autopipe etc.
  • Navis works, AutoCAD, Any 3D modelling tool experience.

Your profile

Bachelor of engineering in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, with an experience  2 to 5 years and + Candidate should have sound piping background and fully conversant with engineering practices. Experience in oil & gas process plant design, petrochemical engineering background would be an advantage. We also hope that you are skilled at thinking proactively and communicating with different people, so that you can maintain a sense of structure in our hectic everyday work life.

The practical things

Your daily base will be at MAKEEN Energy’s head office in HO, Hyderabad. Your working hours will be in the space between 9 am and 5:30 pm. We are flexible about time, and you will enjoy a high degree of freedom under responsibility. We work with mutual expectation of flexibility in busy periods.

You can start as soon as possible. Salary will be determined according to qualifications.
