Sales Development Manager

MAKEEN Gas Equipment UK is looking to add a Sales Development Manager to their sales team.

Makeen Gas Equipment UK Limited is a dynamic and market leading company that supplies equipment and technology to gas users throughout the UK. We are looking for an engaged and independent colleague with a desire for new personal and professional challenges in an exciting, global organisation.

Your responsibilities

The role will primarily be driving new business opportunities throughout the UK, increasing sales with existing customers and promoting and expanding the MAKEEN Gas Solutions business.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Introduce, promote, and sell a range of industry-leading products in the B2B environment.
  • Primary targets are gas companies, contractors, builders, developers, local authorities, etc. by arranging appointments and visiting sites across the UK and Ireland.
  • Build and develop relationships with long-term existing customers and developing new sales opportunities. 
  • Should be comfortable visiting sites, carrying out surveys, with the goal of upgrading the plant and equipment.
  • Understanding the UK LPG market and identifying competitors and opportunities will be key for success in this role.
  • Attending trade shows and industry conferences
  • As the UK Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for maximising profitable sales, in line with an agreed sales target and MAKEEN Energy's global strategies.
  • You will be responsible for developing sales strategies for both existing and new business.
  • Leading by example as one of the UK's LPG industry most established and trusted suppliers.

Your profile

  • Be confident working with key performance indicators with an impressive track record in delivering on sales, profit, and margin targets.
  • Have the ability to work with a team and individually.
  • Be able to communicate at all levels, whether it be with your team or negotiating with your customer.
  • Have the business mind to make commercial decisions in-line with the Senior Management Team.
  • Must have a proven track record working successfully in sales.
  • Must have an excellent telephone manner and be able to deal with all customer calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel and computer literate in general.
  • Must be able to learn new software quickly.
  • Must have a full, clean UK driving license.
  • Be self-motivated, competitive, and have a passion for sales.
  • Be dynamic with a good sense of humour.
