QHSE Engineer

Your role

The position covers responsibility for the quality, health and safety and technical support for two operational sites in Swansea and in Kingswinford and a team of national service engineers.

Your profile

As a person, you are flexible and can provide support in all aspects related to the QHSE function and technical support. You thrive in a busy environment with many varied tasks. You are good at passing your knowledge on to others and at communicating with users on all levels of the organisation.

We also prefer that you:

  • Are a professional engineer
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in a role within either Quality Assurance or Health and Safety.
  • Have experience in the gas or petrochemical industries.
  • Have a working knowledge of the PSSR and the Gas Safety Regulations.
  • Preference will be given to those with manufacturing or service experience within the gas/LPG industry.
  • Have a General Certificate in Health and Safety or will commit to obtaining this qualification within 12 months.
  • Have a good working knowledge of ISO90001 2015 and ISO 45001
  • Have an understanding of Kaizen principles.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both in speech and writing, and can communicate at all levels of an organisation.
  • Are professional, reliable, disciplined and loyal to both the company and your colleagues.
  • Are an experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and are computer literate in general.
  • Have a full, clean UK driving license.

As a person, you are persistent, result-oriented and have strong "we can" attitude. You like challenges and recover rapidly from rejections. you are curious, creative, constructive, and good at problem solving.
