Purchasing and Procurement Manager - Porto

We are looking for a Purchasing and Procurement Manager in Porto to lead procurement across our Portuguese sites. You will set our supplier strategy, negotiate fair agreements, and keep materials moving at the right cost, quality, and timing. You will shape logistics and inventory plans, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements that reduce risk and environmental impact. Your responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement activities across all MAKEEN Portugal sites.
  • Source and select suitable suppliers, negotiating contracts and annual agreements (including rebates, payment terms, delivery conditions, etc.).
  • Create and maintain supplier accounts in the company ERP system.
  • Plan and implement logistics strategies aligned with business targets.
  • Manage product storage, stock rotation, and goods receipt.
  • Develop forecasts and inventory plans; monitor KPIs and conduct internal performance analysis.
  • Control costs while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify process innovations within the supply chain.
  • Define and implement action plans to mitigate risks affecting the supply chain.
  • Ensure sustainability goals by minimizing environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.

Your profile

We imagine that you have:

  • A graduate in Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experienced (5+ years) in purchasing and procurement in an industrial setting.
  • Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to handle complexity, prioritize tasks, and manage simultaneous requests from different locations.
  • Proficient in analytical tools, especially Excel and Power BI.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible in your approach.
  • Strong in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish would be a plus.

The practical things

Your daily base will be in Porto, Portugal. Your working hours will be in the space between 8 am and 5 pm. You can start as soon as possible.
