Operations Engineers for ambitious recycling project

Do you want to contribute to the development of circular recycling of waste plastic? Then you might be the ideal Operations Engineer at MAKEEN Energy's new production facility Plastcon.

Do you want to help launch MAKEEN Energy's ambitious production facility Plastcon?

Plastcon is a technically advanced pyrolysis plant designed to convert waste plastic into oil that can be used in the manufacturing of new products. As an Operations Engineer, you’ll be responsible for running the process and handling alarms related to both operations and safety. Being able to stay on top of things and remain calm during operations is therefore a must.

In addition, you will be involved in different tasks, including hands-on work, understanding documentation such as P&IDs, drawings, and specifications, and contributing to internal instructions and structures. You will be working both independently and in cooperation with your colleagues. As Plastcon includes completely new technology and is still under development, you will have influence on the procedures and systems around the Operations Engineer position, and you can help shape safe and efficient processes in a young organisation. We greatly appreciate your input.

Education and experience

You may have a bachelor's degree in marine engineering or other relevant professional education. You may also have experience from operating energy plants, power plants, etc.

Tasks

As an Operations Engineer at Plastcon, your tasks include:

  • Operation, monitoring, and control of the process plant as a part of the operation team
  • Documentation and reporting as required for the production processes, as well as ensuring safe shift operation and handover.
  • Sampling and analysis of material fractions, pyrolysis oil.
  • Troubleshooting and reporting of system failures
  • Minor maintenance tasks
  • Participating in structuring, developing, and improving the processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ad Hoc tasks

Working at Plastcon

As an employee at Plastcon, you are a part of an organisation implementing a solution that benefits both people and the planet. You help foster a positive work environment and actively contribute to the MAKEEN Energy culture. Your mindset and approach are aligned with our values:

  • Be proactive and take ownership
  • Be passionately involved
  • Share your knowledge – make others good
  • Understand and help your customers
  • Don’t leave anybody behind
  • Put the fish on the table (meaning to address challenges openly and honestly)

Working hours and location

The plant will, for the most part, be running 24/7. You will work according to a periodically released shift plan that includes both day and night shifts, covering weekdays and weekends. Each shift can be up to 12.5 hours with an average of 35 hours per week. However, variations in shift hours should be expected due to periods of active operation, shutdowns, and maintenance.

Training and ongoing collaboration will be with our team of Operations Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, and management on site.

You will have your daily base at the Plastcon facility, Nordre Havnevej 2, 8960 Randers SØ.

Salary will consist of a basic monthly salary and shift allowance.

Start: As soon as possible.
