Internal Sales Representative

Your role

As Internal Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to maintain, build and develop relationships with customers and to drive new business opportunities. Our customers are primarily gas and LNG companies (Oil companies, OEMs, Etc), industrial gas companies, contractors, and traders.

Furthermore, it will also be your responsibility to:

  • Develop strategies for increasing existing business, creating new business, re-establishing lapsed accounts and achieving predetermined targets.
  • Introduce, promote, and sell a range of specialist products, based on cross selling strategies.
  • Arrange appointments to visit sites, make presentations, deal and resolve customer queries as well as negotiate the closing of profitable sales, in line with the company policy and business plans.
  • Collect insight into customers’ businesses, identify opportunities, clarify needs, uncover problems, capture benefits and design and present customised solutions that create value.
  • Attend trade fairs, when relevant, in line with the company policy.
  • Gather information on competitor products, pricing and offers, and registering and sharing the information accordingly.
  • Participate in internal sales meetings and make transparent progress and workflow reports to the management.

Your profile

You will be part of a highly experienced and knowledgeable sales team based in Wavre – Belgium. It will be a great advantage if you have a basic engineering knowledge. However, you will have a support on both technical and administrative aspects.

We are looking for an independent, competitive self-starter who takes full responsibility for your own way within company rules. At the same time, our sales team is characterised by transparency, teamwork and knowledge sharing.

We also prefer that you:

  • Understand the meaning of and live by the MAKEEN Energy values.
  • Have an impressive track record in delivering on sales, profit and margin targets and are confident working with KPI’s.
  • Have excellent communication skills (French, English), both in speech and writing, and can communicate at all levels of an organisation.
  • Have advanced skills in interpersonal relationship management, so you can lead and manage a conversation, listen, and understand customers’ motivations, create emotional engagement, and earn the trust of others.
  • Understand and demonstrate professional sales presentations and negotiation techniques.
  • Have the business mind to make commercial decisions in line with the Sales Manager.
  • Understand the meaning of a perfect cooperation with our back-office staff– when to delegate technical and administrative tasks and when to ask for their advice.
  • Are professional, reliable, disciplined, and loyal to both the company and your colleagues.
  • Are experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and computer literate in general.
  • Driving licence.

As a person, you are persistent, result-oriented and have a strong attitude. You like challenges and recover rapidly from rejections. You are curious, creative and constructive and good at problem solving.
