Accounts Receivable Specialist for Hyderabad, India

About the role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of AR transactions, processing invoices, and following up with customers on outstanding payments. They play a crucial role in ensuring financial stability of the company by optimising cash flow and minimising bad debts. The AR Specialist is required to proactively initiate month-end and year-end books, closing activities including account Reco and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • AR Invoice processing.
  • Receipt processing.
  • Account Reco.
  • Credit note and Debit notes.
  • Aging analysis.
  • Resolve invoice related issues
  • Follow up with customers for payment
  • Any other duties as required

Your profile

Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts receivable procedures, and financial reconciliation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong invoicing and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex billing issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance related to accounts receivable, including credit and collection practices.

Qualification and experience:

  • Graduate/Post-graduate with 8-10 years of work experience in Accounting, Finance.
  • Experience of having worked with companies who deal with OMC’s: IOCL, HPCL & BPCL.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • MS Office proficient.
  • Knowledge on SAP Business One is desirable.

The practical things

Your daily base will be at MAKEEN Energy’s head office in HO, Hyderabad. Your working hours will be in the space between 9 am and 5:30 pm. We are flexible about time, and you will enjoy a high degree of freedom under responsibility. We work with mutual expectation of flexibility in busy periods.

You can start as soon as possible. Salary will be determined according to qualifications.
