Job opening

Project Engineer within Mechanicals

Are you ready to take the lead on projects from the ground up? Do you want to see your efforts turn into tangible results on-site? And do you want to contribute to better use of our planet’s resources? If so, we would love to have you on our team at MAKEEN Envirotech A/S!

Meet the MAKEEN Envirotech team

Welcome to MAKEEN EnviroTech! We are a group of 50 highly specialised engineers, and we are passionate about developing technologies that address environmental challenges. One of those is Plastcon, where we have created an innovative solution to recycling of plastic waste. And we have also come up with a way to turn old wind turbine blades into glass fibre that is as good as new.

The industry has shown huge interest in our Plastcon technology over the last couple of years, so we are growing FAST. As we are writing this, we are well underway in bringing our first full-scale plant to life in Randers, Denmark – and we are incredibly excited about it!

Since we are the newest department in MAKEEN Energy, our products and solutions are also new – both for the market and for our company. Our team is driven by a true start-up mentality where the path from “can we do it?” to “let’s do it!” is very short. If you want to know more about what we do, take a look here:

What you will be doing?

When you join the mechanical team as our new Project Engineer, you will be the one who keeps in close touch with the suppliers who manufacture, test, install, and implement the process equipment on our site. You make sure that all parts and systems are designed, produced, and tested according to the specifications agreed upon. And you oversee that they are manufactured, assembled, FAT-tested, installed, and tested on site according to the overall project plan.

You are responsible for completing and documenting Line Walks and SATs as required and within the delivery time of the project.

Here is a list of what we expect you to do:

  • Stay in frequent contact with suppliers to ensure that specifications are met within the timeline
  • Ensure correct and timely installation of components and systems
  • Provide technical support to the commissioning team
  • Keep track of budget and spending of components and systems
  • Report progress to Package Managers and other teams
  • Participate in project team meetings internal and external
  • Participate in supplier meetings and selection with our Procurement team
  • Document and share lessons learned with the Mechanical Design team

What kind of person are we looking for?

As we have said, we are passionate people, and we imagine that our new Project Engineer in the mechanical team is the same. We are searching for a Project Engineer within mechanicals who is not only skilled but also a team player. You will have the support of the mechanical team, working with a variety of components and systems, from custom-designed equipment to standard parts like valves and pumps.

This is our wish list for our new colleague:

  • Engineering background of Bachelor of Science, Marine Engineer, or other relevant experience
  • Experience in project execution with experience, especially with process equipment installation and operation
  • A solid mix of theoretical knowledge, real-world experience, and the ability to turn thought into action
  • Great at working with other people, communicating, and building relations
  • Motivation to see your own work come to life
  • Proficiency in English

We encourage you to apply even if you cannot fulfill 100% of this wish list. Maybe you have other skills or experience that could be of use to us? Let us know!

And what’s in it for you?

As a new MAKEENer, we welcome you into an informal working environment with room for people of all kinds and backgrounds. You will join your colleagues in the Mechanical team, and they are looking forward to sharing their knowledge with you and help you hit the ground running. In your first weeks here, you will participate in a detailed onboarding and introduction process to MAKEEN Energy. We want you to feel at home as soon as possible – not just within the EnviroTech division, but in the whole MAKEEN Energy group.

We encourage and support your growth through e-learning and other study programs. You will have access to an array of benefits, such as:

  • Health and accident insurance
  • Healthy and tasty lunch and breakfast buffet
  • Free e-bike and scooter rental
  • Massage
  • Fitness
  • Various discounts on shopping
  • and much more

We enjoy each other’s company, which is why we often get together outside of working hours. Our events committee MAKEEN Event arranges many different social events and sports activities for MAKEENers from all departments and functions.
